BOSTON MUSIC INSTRUMENT MANUFACTORY TROMBONE
This vintage instrument was built in 1898 by the Boston Music Instrument Manufact'y Company. This model is a prototype of the modern slide trombone. This concern was started back in 1870 and lasted until 1919. They were at the forefront of brass instrument making. This particular instrument is in good shape. The finish has tarnished some, obviously. There are a few dings on the bell and the main tube. The slide is ding free. The inner slide has some slight plate loss. This trombone has a nickel finish. It may or may not have a silver plated bell. The instruments plays fine. The serial number is 14657. Has a case and mouthpiece. This would be a nice edition for a museum. Buy it here .
